The founder, W.T. Heard, Sr. tried many other brands before switching exclusively to the Chevrolet line in 1932.

In the early 1960’s his son, W.T. Heard took the reins and a challenge to sell Chevrolets in record-setting volume via volume pricing. By the 1980’s, new Bill Heard Dealerships in Atlanta, Georgia, Huntsville, Alabama and two in Houston, Texas were added to meet the challenge.

With the 1990’s five more Bill Heard Dealerships located in Nashville and Memphis, Tennessee, Orlando, Florida and two in Atlanta, Georgia (Town Center Chevrolet/Oldsmobile, and Union City) were added bringing volume pricing to customers in a total of five states. With a renewed dedication to meeting and exceeding sales in record numbers, Oldsmobile and Cadillac franchises were acquired. Columbus also has the Southeast’s largest supplier of retail automotive parts, shipping many truckloads daily to several states.
