Toyota Motor Engineering & Manufacturing North America, Inc (TEMA) is the alignment of Toyota's North American R&D and manufacturing operations, joining the operations, planning and technical functions. Established in April 2006, TEMA strengthens Toyota's North American customer focus, through improved supplier cooperation, overall speed, flexibility and attention to quality. TEMA headquarters in Erlanger, KY, house the Toyota Operations Center and the Toyota Planning Center. The main offices for the Toyota Technical Center are in Ann Arbor, MI.




Current Production Engineering is tyring to identify an Assistant Manager new model introduction project managment. This Assistant Manager is responsible to lead team of engineers to develop new process and equipment.



Other responsibilities include:

- Approve bid packages

- Procure equipment

- Create & track schedules

- Manage cost budgets

- Monitor installation

- Confirm functionality

- Resolve vehicle quality concerns

- Supervise and coordinate contractors in field work environment

- Interface with contractors/skilled trades, affiliate companies, engineers and equipment

manufacturers

- Make countermeasures for timely completion of project deadlines

- Multi-task across several simultaneous projects

- Provide updates/reports to upper management

REQUIREMENTS


Required:

- BS in Mechanical Engineering

- Experience with Process Engineering

- Automotive/automotive supplier experience

- AutoCAD/Catia/Delmia experience

- Interest in "hands-on" engineering

- Microsoft Office Tools





Desired:

- Toyota Production System knowledge- Basic Ergonomics knowledge
