Technical Phone Support Representative

Purpose:
One of the Long Islands largest telecommunication companies is currently seeking talented, friendly help desk professionals to join their staff as Level I/Level II Help Desk technicians. Duties will include: Communication with subscribers, technicians and company representatives to provide assistance and resolve inquiries or problems with regards to optimum online service. Identify, resolve and/or refer to the appropriate personnel customer service related issues. Access and input information on the PC. Prepare reports and perform other administrative duties as needed. Responsible for in-bound customer service issue resolution. Will handle multiple issues regarding optimum online service, connection questions, level II helpdesk. There will be a 5 week paid training class. Training will involve classroom work and live interaction. There are tests that need to be passed in order to graduate from training. This position is driven by customer service. It is important to show that you have helped customers in the past. You will be taking approximately 80-100 calls per day. The shift is a five day shift. It can be consecutive but can possibly be broken up over the week. During training and the consulting period, you have the potential of receiving a day or an evening shift. You must be flexible to work either shift or any 7 days of the week.
