Technical Customer Service Representative

There's quite a distance between wondering and knowing. And for patients waiting for answers to important health questions, it's a road they want to travel as quickly as possible.
LabOne, now a part of Quest Diagnostics, is currently seeking a Technical Customer Service Representative for our Lenexa, KS location. The successful candidate will be responsible for answering technical client questions regarding patient results, giving out specimen requirements, and requesting additional tests.
Additional responsibilities include:
Maintaining accurate documentation of all phone calls received and submitting documentation of any problems or difficult phone calls to the Technical Health Care Client Services Supervisor or Manager
Conveying prices and CPT codes on tests to clients
Approving STAT and same day pickups
Meeting departmental ACD system daily goals
REQUIREMENTS
Qualifications include:
High School Diploma or equivalent, with some college courses, plus 6 months experience in a clinical setting, utilizing medical terminology or medical procedures such as phlebotomy or medical technician preferred
OR
High School Diploma or equivalent plus a 2-year Medical Assistance Degree or completion of a qualified Medical Assistant program with an externship as part of the program
Additional qualifications include:
Strong communication and decision making skills
Accurate and detail oriented
Good work attendance record
Ability to work in a team environment
Exceptional organizational skills
Ability to type 30 wpm
