Surgery Scheduling Representative

We are currently seeking a full-time Scheduling Representative to work M-F; 8:30-5:00pm at our St. John’s Hospital location. Responsibilities include scheduling surgical cases for St. John's Hospital and the HealthEast Surgery Center Maplewood using Surgical Information Systems and Pathways Healthcare Scheduling (SIS and PHS) computer systems; work with surgeon office/HE staff to schedule cases at the hospital and surgery center; develop expertise with computerized scheduling systems, block scheduling data collection and OR daily operations. Qualified candidates must have medical secretary/assistant vocational training; previous surgery scheduling experience in a hospital setting preferred; basic understanding of OR scheduling; medical terminology knowledge, excellent communication skills, solid computer skills; must be flexible and have strong customer service skills.
