Patients benefit from services provided at the hospital's main campus and satellite locations throughout the Dayton area.Summary of Position
This position contributes to effective compensation practices by gathering and analyzing salary data to be used in the preparation and administration of the annual salary budget. Maintains both an exempt and non-exempt job evaluation system, and counsels managers and employees regarding job evaluations and equity concerns. This position acts as a lead to the Information Specialists to ensure timely processing of information into the Human Resource Information System (HRIS). This may include merit increases, lump sum amounts, equity adjustments, salary offers, and market adjustments.
Dimension/ Scope
This position reports to the PHP Compensation Manager. He/she advises managers and employees on issues relating to compensation programs and practices. This position provides support to the Compensation function within the Human Resources Division by analyzing survey data, evaluating positions and classification systems within the legal confines of state and federal regulations, including the Fair Labor Standards Act. He/she works across all levels of the organization to receive and gather information regarding equity issues, job evaluations, salary administration, and survey data. He/she may represent the hospital to a variety of outside organizations regarding compensation data.
REQUIREMENTS
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business, or related area requiredLicensure: Not Applicable
Certification: Not Applicable
Experience: 3 -5 years of exempt professional experience in Human Resources
<t></t>2 – 4 years compensation experience
<t></t>Demonstrated competency with spreadsheet software and HRIS applications
<t></t>Previous experience in a Healthcare Environment strongly preferred
Skills/Other: Strong statistical and analytical skills<t></t>Strong organizational skills<t></t>Effective oral and written communication skills
<t></t>Must display tact and diplomacy, as well as professionalism
<t></t>Maintain a high degree of confidentialityDay Shift: 8 hours long
