We're looking for people who can make a difference because we believe that an innovative oriented team can accomplish anything!As a Cashier you will receive payment for all sales and service items and play a key role in creating customer satisfaction. Serve as a back up to the receptionist answering all incoming calls and routs them to the proper place.Primary Responsibilities
Balance Repair Orders, vehicle deposits and cash (credit cards, checks, cash) daily.
Receives cash checks and credit card payments from customers; records amount received.
Close or final all repair orders for which funds have been received in computer system.
Use various dealership software programs for input and retrieval of information, such as determining the status of customer’s vehicles.
Separate repair orders and forward them to the proper place for use by accounting and/or the Warranty Administrator.
Answer telephones, and serve as backup to the receptionist as needed.
Maintain petty cash fund (if dealership has a petty cash fund.)
Prepare deposit receipts for the sales staff for all new vehicle deposits, extended warranties, or various other outside sales.
Retrieve company messages and respond to them as needed.
Keep filing current and available for the Service Advisors and/or Service Manager when the history of a vehicle is needed.
Be aware of the various types of warranty work that is done, how it is charged, and what needs to be forwarded to the Warranty Administrator and in what form.
Proof all repair orders for completeness and accuracy.
Log the gas card in and out to appropriate personnel and verify all gas receipts are returned (may vary by dealership).
Attend meetings and training as scheduled.
Maintain cleanliness of dealership by picking up any trash observed and notifying custodian of any spills.
Be friendly, professional, courteous and efficient when working with all customers and employees.
Maintain professional, well groomed appearance.
