Senior Windows Administrator

Our client is an leader within the Semiconductor Industry. They are seeking a Senior Windows Administrator for a 1+ year contract located in Santa Clara, CA. NO THIRD PARTIES ALLOWED WITH THIS CLIENT!

Description of Duties:Provide systems design and deployment services for the corporate Windows server environment, currently around 200 servers. Work with team to ensure the highest level of availability, reliability, recoverability, and performance, while consistently meeting commitment dates. Includes standard Windows infrastructure services--domain controllers, print servers, WINS, backup, anti-virus-as well as NetApp filers, Window Terminal Services, VMWare ESX servers, and application servers. Also involves working with worldwide sites.

REQUIREMENTS

Skill Requirements: (Include Hardware/Software and level of skill) Advances experience with Windows 2000 & 2003 OS and architecture, including Active Directory. Extensive understanding of the Windows Server components and internals. Ability to plan and execute complex projects with critical infrastructure (i.e. Active Directory upgrades). VMWare ESX Server experience, incl guest deployment, ESX OS, Virtual Center. Collaborative approach in terms of design and planning, yet independent in terms of execution and have ability to interface with all levels of users and management. Excellent written and verbal communications as well as excellent project management skills. Strong customer service skills.
Desirable: Ability to establish highly efficient and automated Windows Infrastructure services. Reading and Writing scripts (Perl, VBS), understanding of advanced network concepts, Citrix MetaFrame, Network Appliance filers, Windows performance and debugging tools, TSM.
