Senior HR Generalist

The merger of REGIONS Financial Corporation and Union Planters Corporation created a regional force in the financial services industry. Regions has an immediate need for a Senior HR Generalist for our Dallas market. This position will be responsible for the following:

Deliver employee relations, staffing and organizational development services to an assigned business unit or geographical territory. Proactively identify opportunities to improve team or individual effectiveness and relationships in the business through personal intervention and through partnerships with internal or external experts. Understand the business, its strategy and people, acts as a strategic business partner by transferring extensive knowledge of the business segment employees and their work environment to ensure the successful implementation of the strategic people plan. Act as a broker of services between the line and Corporate H.R. service centers functional units. Provide coaching, counseling and consulting to managers on a broad range of H.R. related issues and problems. Show enthusiasm and support for the business and people strategies. This position will also cover our Austin market and will have approximately 20% travel.
REQUIREMENTS
The successful candidate will have:

3+ years H.R. experience. BA/BS Business, H.R. or related degree or equivalent experience. Demonstrated skill and experience in a generalist role. Knows and applies the fundamental concepts, practices and procedures of human resources. Skilled in applicable computer software, e.g., Microsoft Word, Excel and HRMS system. General knowledge of at least two H.R. disciplines. Good facilitation skills. Good written and oral communication skills. Strong consulting and problem solving skills.
