Senior Funding Coordinator

General Summary: Under light supervision, this person ensures that all lease documentation packages are complete and funded in an efficient and timely manner. The Funding Coordinator will be responsible for developing good working relationships both internally and externally and work to continuously improve the funding department processes. This person must develop strong working relationships with internal sales and credit teams as well as external lending sources. This person works on assignments that are moderately difficult, requiring judgment in resolving issues or in making recommendations. Major Responsibilities: Performs a complete and thorough check of all incoming signed lease package documentation including auditing and verifying documents for accuracy using company and lender guidelines. Provides leadership & direction to Funding Coordinators on how to handle their transactions. Assists with training new Funding Coordinators. Aides in the process improvement initiatives. Generates documents and addendums and collects the necessary missing information to fund each lease transaction. Works directly with the sales team and other departments to collect all items necessary to fund each lease transaction. Maintains constant email and verbal communication with representatives at lender firms. Verbally confirms terms & conditions of contract with lessee. Funds all lease packages in a timely manner. Utilizes the internet and other resources to verify client information accuracy. Possesses the ability to interpreting a credit approval and the ability to understand how to clear credit stipulations and to gather the proper supporting documentation to do so. Possesses the ability to understand the structure of a lease. Possesses the ability to work with and maintain strong relationships both internally and externally. Other duties as assigned.
REQUIREMENTS
3 or more years of related experience in a financial services environment. Bachelors’ degree in Business, Finance or similar discipline preferred. Able to train and provide leadership & direction to junior-level Funding Coordinators. Previews deals and answers questions from lower level coordinators. Professional demeanor and the ability to thrive in a fast paced environment. Ability to negotiate with external lender contacts. Strong, effective oral and written communications skills. Strong analytical skills. Must be able to work independently and/or with a team. Must be able to use a financial calculator. Maintains strict confidentiality and exercises solid judgment to complete assigned tasks. Strong organizational skills. Proficient with Microsoft Office software applications and Outlook for email. Must possess strong Excel and Internet skills. Willingness and desire to seek continuing education and self-improvement. Demonstrates traits consistent with the company culture - drive and perseverance in accomplishing goals; sense of responsibility and integrity; effectiveness as a team member; adaptability to new projects; planning and organizational skills; resourcefulness; energy and motivation to accept and complete tasks; and enthusiasm for the business and their work.
