Senior Administrative Assistant
Business Unit: GE HealthcareFunction: Administration and SupportResponsibilities: Responsibilities will be broad and changeable in nature ranging from co-ordinating or leading special projects, arranging conferences to preparing presentations. It is an exciting opportunity for someone who is self-motivated and comfortable using technology and operating at senior levels in an organization. Responsible for handling incoming customer queries and response for varied escalations. To include customer correspondence, organizing materials for operating mechanisms; managing support central site; developing presentations for external & internal consumption.
Responsible for tracking input and status on varied customer escalations; coordinating logistics on complicated customer interactions.
Proactively support by independently handling all assigned administrative duties, and taking direction from and balancing the needs of multiple staff members
Effectively maintain and coordinate calendars, schedule appointments and meetings and arrange travel schedules.
Process and reconcile T&L expense accounts and AP invoices.
Schedule, plan, and organize all logistical details for in-house and off-site meetings.
Develop PowerPoint presentations (pitches) and other graphic presentations, type letters and other correspondence.
Provide general office administrative services.
REQUIREMENTS
Qualifications: Minimum of five years administrative experience working in a corporate environment at a senior level.
Strong demonstrated writing skills, articulating complex ideas in an easy to understand manner.
Demonstrated project management skills to plan and deliver on established tactical and strategic goals.
Experience at an advanced level using Microsoft Word and PowerPoint applications as well as use of the internet and web applications (i.e. ability to draft correspondence and create powerpoint presentations for leadership team); basic level of Excel application to create charts, diagrams and tables of data.
Ability to travel on occasion (at least two times per year).
Strong working knowledge of English (written and verbal).
Must be willing to take and pass drug test.
Must be willing to submit to a background investigation, including for example, verification of your past employment, criminal history, and educational background.
Must be willing to work in an office located in Waukesha, Wisconsin.
Must be legally authorized to work in the US.Desired: Bachelor's degree OR at least seven years experience in a corporate or professional business environment.
Excellent administrative and interpersonal skills, with ability and confidence to effectively interface with senior management and high profile clients.
Familiarity and working knowledge of relational databases.
Extremely well organized, with attention to detail, yet able to multi-task in an environment of changing priorities.
Intellectually sharp, able to grasp concepts and think/learn quickly.
Professional approach, good judgment, creative problem-solver. Possessing the personal drive and commitment to implement innovative solutions.
Ability to accepting constructive criticism and deal calmly and effectively with high-stress situations. This includes continuing to persevere and remaining calm in challenging or frustrating circumstances.
A self-starter able to work on own initiative and well in a team environment.
Knowledge of the GE Internet, Support Central and other relevant applications desirable. Demonstrate willingness to learn new IT to the benefit of the whole Quality and Lean Six Sigma teams.
