Scheduler/Manufacturing Supervisor

Jerr-Dan Corporation, of Greencastle, Pa, a world class manufacturer of towing and recovery vehicles, has an immediate opening for a Scheduler and Manufacturing Supervisor. These positions require a responsible, experienced and self-motivated individual who is seeking an exciting and rewarding career.

SCHEDULER
This individual is responsible for the department/divisional scheduling of all production required to support the final unit build. They must work with Production Control and Purchasing to coordinate allocation and release of major components as well as other Schedulers, Sales, Distributors and Vendors to ensure final schedule dates are met. Associates degree in business or related field with 1-3 years production scheduling experience required. Understanding of KANBAN Inventory Control, Bill of Materials and Lean scheduling/planning techniques highly desired.

MANUFACTURING SUPERVISOR
The candidate selected will supervise up to 25 production employees in a manufacturing environment. Responsible for departmental production scheduling, manpower/resource planning and achievement of safety and quality standards. High school diploma required. A minimum of 3-5 years previous supervisory experience in a manufacturing environment with a strong emphasis in shipping and receiving is required. Previous experience with Lean Manufacturing principles and KANBAN inventory control is desired. Must be able to read blue prints and problem solve while working effectively and efficiently within a fast paced environment.
