Route Support Representative
Provides relief for Route Sales Representatives by filling in for vacations, open routes and other absences. Performs installations and servicing of equipment. Reports to the Region Manager. This position has no direct reports.
1.Provides route relief for open routes including:
•delivery of coffee, tea and other products.
•collection of money.
•recording customer transactions.
2.Installations of new accounts including:
•follows installation authorization form to install equipment at new customer site.
•follows “code” and company standards during the installation process.
•processes all necessary paperwork.
•collects monies if necessary and processes according to company policy.
3.Equipment Servicing to include:
•Answers service calls under direction of Region Supervisor/Manager
•Performs preventive maintenance and sanitation of juice accounts.
•Performs Brew Analysis
•Supports National Accounts Service Calls.
4.Develops relationships with customers by listening and resolving issues.
5.Included in rotation for on call (night and weekend) responsibility.
6.Maintains adequate inventory of spare parts in vehicle.
7.Responsible for general upkeep of vehicle in accordance with company policy.
8.Performs other duties as assigned by the Region Supervisor or Region Manager to include:
•Assisting with account penetration of allied products
•Follow up on sales leads
•New cold calls.
•Performs warehouse functions including checking in equipment, returning equipment for refurbishing to Concord and equipment inventory.
•Assists in ordering product, receiving and stocking product, product inventorying and pulling orders.
REQUIREMENTS
1.Proven track record of reliability and responsibility.
2.Good driving record.
3.Strong verbal communication skills.
4.Self Starter, able to work in a fast paced environment.
5.Strong work ethic.
6.Ability to interact with all types of individuals from different cultural and ethnic backgrounds.
7.Well groomed and professional in appearance.
8.Mechanical aptitude, ability to troubleshoot.
Must be able to spend over thirty five percent (35%) of workday sitting and driving for intervals of up to two hours at a time. Must be able to perform each of these functions for approximately ten percent (10%) of the workday in intervals up to thirty minutes at a time: stand, kneel, bend, squat, crawl, climb, twist and lift. Must be able to occasionally, with assistance, lift up to 100 pounds from floor to a 36-40” counter height during the installation process. Must be able to frequently lift up to 35 pounds and use a hand truck to transport over 50 pounds. This individual must be able to drive a route or service vehicle and will use a cell phone, pager and hand held computer unit. Basic tools and specialized tools (refractometer and volt meter) will be used frequently. Must be able to work in environments of extreme cold or heat, humidity or dryness. Occasional exposure to fumes, odors and dust in customer sites. Must be able to see, smell, touch, hear and speak.
