Retirement Plan Specialist

Sheakley Pension Administration, Inc. is looking for a Retirement Plan Specialist. This position is responsible for the daily administration of 401(k) profit sharing plans and client relations with associated plan sponsors. This includes working with plan sponsors, plan auditors, internal auditors, internal staff members and statement vendors. Applicants need to have a fundamental understanding of qualified retirement plans in a daily valuation environment. Familiarization with and coordination of processing contributions, distributions, participant loans, loan repayments, participant statements, etc.
REQUIREMENTS
Bachelors degree desired
1-3 years experience working with defined contribution plans require
Must be knowledgeable in ERISA, Internal Revenue Service (IRS) and Department of Labor (DOL) guidelines
Ability to read a plan document and interpret plan rules
Experience working with daily transactions of 401(k) plans
Excellent analytical skills required
Excellent interpersonal, computer, verbal and written communication skills required
Excellent organizational and time management skills required
Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office (e.g., Excel, Word)
Must be attentive to detail and accuracy
Ability to work closely with others in a team environment
