Verizon is pleased to announce career opportunities in Relay Operation. As a Relay Operator, you will assist the Relay-user community in completing telephone calls statewide and around the globe! Your excellent typing (60wpm/tested), listening and speech-communication skills will help sustain Verizon’s leadership role in the Relay marketplace. We have Full Time and Part Time shifts available.

The responsibilities of this position include:

Process telephone transmissions and conversions between internet
and voice users.

Translate between English and American Sign Language (ASL) to
facilitate communications between internet and voice users.

Abides at ALL TIMES by an oath of confidentiality, even after
termination of employment.

Relay all calls regardless of nature.

Minimum requirements:

Must be 18 years of age or older.

High School Diploma or GED.

Very flexible schedule. 24 hours a day, seven days/week including holidays.

Type a minimum of 60 words per minute.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Ability to problem-solve.

Basic understanding of telephone and computer keyboard operations.

Experience in any of the following is a plus:

Data Entry

Customer Service

Administrative

Office

Clerical
