Tasks
• Operate telephone switchboard (up to 10 lines) to answer and forward calls, providing information, taking messages and scheduling pick-ups• Process and prepare memos, correspondence, spread sheets, or other documents• Place orders for office materials, coffee and paper products• Send received packages to the proper departments• Notify Deposits Dept. of incoming mail• Perform duties such as taking care of plants and preparing coffee to maintain lobby or reception area• Separate weight tickets and pre/post trip inspections from drivers• Record route times• Itemize dump totals for various sites• Record prospect accounts, and follow-up• Maintain route locks and keys in "key box" for various customers• Maintain multiple spreadsheets for, weights & miles, tonnage, route times, on-call customers, problem stops, missed pick-ups and route keys• Analyze data to determine answers to questions from customers or members of the public• Greet persons entering establishment, determine nature and purpose of visit, and direct or escort them to specific destinations
• Hear and resolve complaints from customers and public.• Keep a current record of staff members' whereabouts and availability
• Provide information about establishment, such as location of departments or offices, employees within the organization, or services provided
• Receive payment and record receipts for services
• Transmit information or documents to customers, using computer, mail, or facsimile machineWork ContextRequires making decisions that affect other people and/or the image and reputation of the organization.
