REO Assistant

Reviews mortgage contracts and other associated documents to gain an understanding of the type of action being requested (eviction or the sale of a property).
Verifies documentation is complete, accurate and in compliance with business unit and legal requirements.
Works with colleagues and outside attorneys and agents as necessary to ensure that all problems associated with any documents are corrected.
Prepares and completes forms or documents, within level of authority, necessary to expedite the REO process and assist the REO Specialist in the sale or close of the property.
Works with colleagues and outside attorneys, law enforcement and agents to coordinate the lockout or sale of a property. Works on escrow and title background.
Enters various datat on a database to track the process of selling a property.
Conducts follow-ups on the process of eviction or sale of a property. Notifies REO Specialists when significant problems are found in association with tracking the sale of the property.
Performs other clerical duties such as filing, copying, and closing of documents as needed.
Conducts title searches as necessary of properties being placed for sale. Performs other duties as assigned.
