Let me tell you a little more about the job and you can tell me if you are interested in moving to the next step.
We are a financial services firm, law firm and accounting firm. We also have a few renters in our building. The receptionist is responsible for answering and routing phone calls and faxes for all the companies. You would also be responsible for all the filing for the law firm and the financial services firm (not the renters). There are 12 people between the firms; however there will be many times when you are the only person in the office - thus, you must be self-motivated and self-directed.
In addition, your duties would include (but aren't limited to) greeting clients and guests, setting them up with coffee and goodies, ordering supplies as needed, running errands occasionally for the business; as well as for personal matters for the partners as needed, training new people including renters on use of the phone and fax system, assisting with bulk mailings, setting up for seminars (which include preparing the food in our full kitchen), breaking down after seminars (which includes cleaning up and doing the dishes), preparing client packages, monitoring the cleaning crew, insuring the outgoing mail is handled, preparing fed ex deliveries, ordering literature, closing up the office, starting backups, and rotating tapes.
The position also includes some light typing, ability to type from verbal dictation (although not required), spreadsheet work and internet researching.
We are looking at starting someone at $10.00 to $13.00 per hour; however don't let that stop you from applying if everything else looks good to you - hiring the right person is more important. We are located on Tatum just north of Shea in Northeast Phoenix. The hours are from 8:00 - 5:00 with an hour lunch. We do offer participation in a profit sharing 401k plan (after one year), sick and vacation days but do not offer any health insurance.
