Ensure high quality, accurate and up-to-date program content, effective delivery of material and maintenance of
accurate records of participation are provided.
Responsible for ensuring all standards specified in the Statement on Standards for Continuing Professional Education (CPE) programs are adhering to all of the National Registry requirements for administering CPE credit. Upholding all administrative requirements set forth by the National Registry membership with NASBA as well as those identified by Deloitte's Internal Audit organization.
Manage jurisdictional information (example: ethics courses that will/will not satisfy certain State Boards), identify trends on education/compliance (Group-Internet-based delivery method was new technology within the last few years), review/advise regarding the use and understanding of subject areas (example: Specialized Knowledge vs. Auditing), state board audits, peer review, internal audits, liaise with learning professionals/leaders
Oversee offered learning programs are of high quality, providing accurate and up-to-date program content,
ensuring effective delivery of the material and maintaining accurate records of participation. Enhance NCCG procedures to independently validate CPE documentation and consider accepting only NASBA approved education courses and/or credit from nationally accredited universities or colleges.
Ensure that CPE Program Sponsors adhere to all National Registry of CPE Sponsors' requirements and for meeting all of the standards specified in the Statement of Standards for Continuing Professional Education (CPE) Programs for Group - Live and Group - Internet-based Programs. Work with National Education Development (NED) and other groups to educate course developers regarding NASBA requirements and related compliance.
Stay abreast of Jurisdictional Information, identify trends in education to ensure compliancy with NASBA Registry standards, review all education requests for CPE credit, advise Program Sponsors with regards to how they are or are not meeting these requirements, versed in subject
area usage/definitions, educational delivery methods and how these equate to compliancy with NASBA Registry standards,
Understand, anticipate and advise how educational outcomes may affect State Board Audits, Peer Review, and Internal Audit requirementsBA (Business Management/Business Administration)/BS or equivalent working experience.
10+ years of professional experience in an enterprise, preferably related to educational composition and learning delivery methods and/or compliance/internal control operations.
The Educational Analyst will have daily contact with all personnel levels at Deloitte & Touche USA LLP and its subsidiaries, as well as focused interaction with Learning Directors (National and Local), learning administrators, facilitators and professionals in the field.
Contact with others such as the National Association of State Boards of Accountancy (NASBA) will be on a frequent basis as well as State Boards of Accountancy
This position has the authority to
influence, recommend and approve educational offerings established as CPE Programs for granting CPE credit. This role must understand how the various licensing bodies work together and sometimes do not work together from CPE compliance aspects.
This role will have the authority to consult with NASBA, GAO, AICPA/PCAOB and State Boards regarding educational requirements/restrictions as it pertains to granting CPE credit.
