The incumbent coordinates ongoing quality improvement activities in support of the Banta Quality Business System, production goals and customer quality specifications. The position reports directly to the Facility Operations Manager.
All job responsibilities are to be performed in adherence with the company’s Mission/Values Statement and its Code of Business Conduct and Ethics.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Ensures implemented quality system is in compliance to ISO, internal procedures and customer defined quality specifications.
Assists in implementing meaningful product and process quality measurement systems and summary reports in manufacturing and support process.
Plans, coordinates and conducts training for employees and/or new hires on the Quality Business System.
Documents corrective and preventive action in PIF database. Maintains and modifies PIF database as required. Facilitate corrective action investigations. Track and report follow-up corrective action activity.
Assists other managers in formulating and establishing operating procedures and systems; coordinates operating procedure changes and improvements between departments.
Coordinates all documentation and data that relates to the Quality System. Reviews and verifies documents for completeness, format and compliance to ISO procedures.
Coordinates activity for reviewing and auditing the Quality System with Banta personnel, outside consultants and third party auditors. Documents audit results. Tracks implementation of audit corrective action assignments.
Evaluates and dispositions all nonconforming product/materials; reports findings and related costs, coordinates and monitors corrective action activity.

REQUIREMENTS
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
Bachelor’s degree (B.A.) or equivalent; or three to five years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. The incumbent must have a thorough understanding of ISO 9000 standard.
Computer Network Engineer (CNE) certificate required.
LANGUAGE SKILLS
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations; ability to write reports business correspondence, and procedure manuals; ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of employees, managers, clients, customers, and the general public. Ability to effectively communicate work assignments, performance expectations and disciplinary or commendatory actions to staff under his/her direct supervision.
MATHAMATICAL SKILLS
The position requires ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference, and fundamentals of geometry and trigonometry, and the ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.
REASONING ABILITY
Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions, ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to communicate verbally and electronically with internal and external customers and perform computer keyboarding activities. The employee is occasionally required to move from one location to another. Close vision capability is required for the position to include ability to distinguish colors and the ability to adjust focus. The employee must frequently lift items to a height of three to four feet and/or move items that weigh up to ten pounds and occasionally lift and/or move items that weigh up to twenty-five pounds. The employee may be required to travel for the Company.
