Quality Assurance

Job purpose:
At MJB, we have combined people, products and technologies to offer the most innovative wood products solutions available in the market today. This position should employ innovative solutions to assist the company’s growing PWP division utilizing all technology MJB owns. In addition, the position will be responsible for continuous consistent quality of all PWP products.

Key responsibilities and accountabilities:
1. Serve as the primary quality control resource for problem identification, resolution, loss reporting and continuous improvement.
2. Design, implement and document procedures for process control, process improvement, testing and inspection.
3. Establish and implement metrics (process capability, control charts, measurement quality) for monitoring system effectiveness and to enable managers to make sound product quality decisions.
4. Perform root-cause analysis and other problem solving activities to identify effective corrective actions and process improvements.
5. Analyze customers’ product specifications to establish efficient, cost-effective requirements for ease of manufacture and reproducibility.

6. Develop quality planning methods for all product lines.
7. Interact with Division managers and/or customers to identify opportunities to improve quality and establish feedback with manufacturing and sales personnel.

8. Coordinate and implement eQuality system with Corporate Information Systems and designated customers.

9. Report to management on quality issues, trends and losses.
REQUIREMENTS


Previous experience in an ISO-certified manufacturing environment and served as a QA team member. Ideal candidate will be quality-driven, highly organized and some mechanical engineering in their background. Have diverse knowledge of inspection and control methods, techniques and documentation. Be comfortable interfacing with all levels of the organization, as well as presenting a positive attitude and customer-service focus. Interpersonal skills are highly-valued in this sales-driven organization.
