Purchasing Coordinator -Clerk

Our client, a large $MM company in the retail and hospitality industry, is seeking a Purchasing Coordinator – Clerk in Coral Gables, FL.
Essential Functions & Responsibilities:
• Manage the order process from requisition to delivery for ships, spas, and resorts
• Manage vendor performance by P.O.

• Manage the sourcing out of stock items and substitution options

. • Communicate delivery notifications to all vessels.

• Manage the emergency stock and requisition process and validate necessity.

• Ensure that the delivery schedules are met. Follow up with vendors and notify all parties involved if something is on backorder or short shipped.
. • Communicate with spa manager to resolve all open P.O.’s within the smart system.
• Work closely with the inventory manager in assisting in quarterly review, clarification of all P.O.’s and analysis of inventory levels reported by POS.

• Accountable for cost conscious decision making.
Position Requirements:

• Associate's degree (A. A.) or equivalent from two-year College or technical school; or six months to one year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

• Ability to read, analyze and interprets general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations.
• Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.

Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
