Program Manager

As one of the programs of the Children's Services Division of Catholic Charities of the Diocese of Wilmington, Bayard House is a community based maternity home serving pregnant and parenting teens and women that operates 24/7. This position manages the fiscal, personnel, program and facility while serving as a role model for the teens and women in care.

The main responsibilities are: maintain, coordinate and facilitate the Bayard House program to insure maximum communication, consistency and achievement of all program objectives. Implement the aftercare program designed to enhance the resident's ability to support and nurture herself and her child. Coordinate the tracing of and contact with former residents. Provide supervision, training and development for designated staff. Hold monthly supervisory meetings as appropriate and conduct monthly staff meeting. Provide annual performance appraisals for staff. Coordinate Community Resources Program. Plan, motivate and implement special programs for individuals and groups of residents. Prepare program statistics,records and issue regular reports. Supervise referral and intake process. Engage in related administrative duties such as emergency duty, team leader for program reviews, service liaison with the community regarding program issues and public relations. Articulate and implement the mission of Catholic Charities while performing duties. Assist with development of annual budget, overseeing daily operating expenditures so as to meet budget expectations. Oversee the use of vehicles, equipment and property. Ensure planned in-service training is conducted.
REQUIREMENTS
Commitment to the mission and values of Catholic Charities in serving pregnant teens and women and preserving the sanctity and dignity of their lives.
Demonstrated leadership, management and supervisory skills
Good physical health, including past medical history, Hep B and TB test.
Valid and insurable driver's license
Cleared for service in the Diocese of Wilmington with the completion of a criminal background investigation.
Minimum of 5 years direct supervisory experience in human service management with a Bachelor's degree.
While specific skills are required for certain positions, special consideration is given to the personal qualifications of an employee as each staff member serves as model for the clients.
