Production Manager - Art/Design

Production Manager - Art & DesignWe are currently seeking a proactive, reliable individual to manage our Production Department.
The Production Manager will be responsible for:
Processing orders – locate images using inventory database and lists, alter to customer specifications if necessary, transfer to CD or FTP site, log shipping and other information into tracking systemPrepare orders for shipping using various couriers, taking price and level of service into considerationMaintain image files and libraries, as well as paper files as neededFollow up with phone and email inquiries in a timely mannerResearch problem orders and execute resolutionManage workflow of departmentCreate reports for executive staff members and for departmental and company meetingsDepartment cleanup – organize and move inventory as neededAssist with light maintenance duties – trash removal, light bulb replacement, move equipment as needed, etc.This is a full-time position, Monday through Friday 8:30am to 5:00pm. After 90-day probation period, some flexibility in schedule can be discussed.
Salary is $30k's/$40k's depending on experience and qualifications.

REQUIREMENTS

A proactive attitude and excellent work ethicAt least 3 years experience as a production or traffic manager in any industry; experience in the art/design industry a plusExperience with shipping domestic and international packages using vendors/couriers (i.e. DHL, FedEx, UPS, postal service, etc.)The ability to manage other staff members and take direction from executive management staffThe ability to extract data and information for reporting purposes and present information in company meetingsProficiency with both Macintosh and PC applications, Adobe Photoshop, Email and Internet applicationsIntermediate to Advance level functionality in Microsoft Word and Excel, FTP (file transfer protocol), and proprietary software applicationsThe ability to speak, read and write fluently in the English language
