Production Control Clerk

Summary : Under general supervision performs data entry to compile and record production data to prepare records and reports on volume of production, consumption of raw material, quality control, and other aspects of production by performing the following duties.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities : include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Compiles and records production data from such documents as customer orders, work tickets, product specifications, and individual worker production sheets.
Calculates factors such as types and quantities of items produced, materials used, amount of scrap, frequency of defects, and worker and department production rates.
Performs data entry to various databases from written information received.
Prints production reports based on data compiled, tabulated, and computed.
Maintains files of documents used and prepared.
Compiles material inventory records and prepares requisitions for procurement of materials and supplies.
Charts production, based on statistics compiled, for reference by production and management personnel.Quality Responsibility and Authority:
This position is responsible for the quality of documentation and records that affect production, purchasing and inventory records. All documentation must be accurate to specifications and instructions. Data is to be checked per work instructions to assure compliance to established procedures. Position has authority to stop production and report or correct problems that affect quality of pieces produced. Quality problems should be reported to immediate supervisor so that root cause can be determined and corrected.
