Printer/Scanner
Government contractor, JHT, is seeking a full time (Mon-Fri 6am-3pm) Printer/Scanner to perform automated printing and publishing services in support of the federal printing office located at Ft. McCoy, WI.
Duties include:
•Sets up, operates, and monitors copier/scanning equipment, e.g., high-speed electrostatic copier. During equipment operation, reviews sample output copies to ensure continuing quality of printed pages. Interprets system diagnostic messages and takes appropriate corrective action as required. Performs daily and weekly maintenance functions according to established procedures. Corrects equipment operating problems not involving systems programming or mechanical/electrical faults.
•Pre-flight print files as necessary
•Download files using application software and web browsers
•Operates accessory equipment, e.g., collator, stitcher, etc., to prepare completed work for distribution. Performs associated and necessary binding operations, i.e., binding, cutting, finishing, and shipping of completed jobs
•Maintains production and/or supply usage records
•Scanning, retouching, and editing of graphic images
•Orders and maintains supplies needed for equipment operation
•Works with customers on electronic commerce (DAPS Online) web ordering of services
•Performs required billing of customers and job tracking utilizing a computer
•Perform other tasks as assigned
REQUIREMENTS
•Experience in an electronic printing production environment with a working knowledge of industry standard software and practices
•Expertise in operating copier/scanning equipment, e.g., high-speed electronic digital printers
•Expertise with Microsoft Windows 2000 and XP
•Expertise with software applications and web browsers
•Expertise in binding and finishing equipment, collator, cutter, stitcher, joggers, folders, etc.
•Knowledge of the electronic printing industry
•Effective verbal and written communication skills
