Payroll Specialist w/Int'l Experience Needed
Payroll Specialist

Must have International Experience
Global energy services company in Arlington, VA, seeks a Payroll Specialist on a full-time, permanent basis to process all aspects of payroll and benefits function, including data collection, benefits deductions, reconciliations and verification of income tax withholding, etc. The location is metro-accessible.
The Payroll Specialist will also be responsible for:
* Processing payroll for employees located internationally (expatriates) including calculation of relocation, housing, cost of living allowance and calculation of HIPO taxes
* Ensure timeliness and accuracy of recording data changes including salary changes, bonus, transfers, promotions, etc.
* Process and ensure accurate calculation of overtime pay for non-exempt employees
* Perform periodic reconciliation of payroll and expense accounts and resolve discrepancies with the General Ledger and data interfacted from the HRIS
* Verify proper documentations, including receipts, and management authorization in the employees' business expense reimbursement requests
* Ensure employees business expenses are in compliance with corporate accounting requirements and invoice guidelines
* Follow up and resolve issues related to retirement, garnishment, and benefits
* Research and resolve employees expense reimbursement issues
* Provide administrative support to Accounting Manager / Sr. Accountant as needed, including providing detailed analysis, summary reports and written correspondence.
* Provide support in the maintenance and revisions of payroll policy and procedures and provide information to employees, supervisors, affiliated agencies by referring to company policies and regulations
* Enforce adherence with company policy, federal, state, and local legal requirements and advise management on needed actions
* Act as the point of contact with external auditors regarding all payroll related requests including providing account analysis / supporting documentation
REQUIREMENTS
The ideal candidate possess 5+ years of international and multi-state payroll processing experience and a Bachelor degree in Accounting, Business Admin or related field. The Payroll Specialist must have the ability to maintain a high level of confidentialty regarding employee information and be able to succeed in a high-demand, energetic environment.
Strong working knowledge of MS Office applications, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access and Visio is required. Experience with CBIZ payroll process and Concur online corporate expense system is a plus. Compensation and benefits administration experience a plus as well.
