Patient Service Representative

Responsible for promoting the Standards of Excellence for Orthopedic Specialists demonstrates courteous and cooperative behavior toward patients, visitors, volunteers, peers and physicians.

Maintains a neat and orderly work environment, demonstrates the ability to organize and prioritize work during heavy workload situations to expedite patient care.
REQUIREMENTS
1.Answers incoming telephone calls, assesses calls in order of priority, determines appropriate area or takes complete message.

2.Greets patients and visitors in a prompt, courteous and helpful manner.

3.Oversees waiting area, coordinates patient flow and reports problems.

4.Schedules, reschedules patient appointments and confirms future appointments.

5.Enters new patient information and verifies/updates existing patient information.

6.Collects payments from patients

7.Prepares and verifies daily deposit

8.Assist with check-out process

9.Demonstrate proper telephone etiquette and computer skills
