PHARMACY HELP DESK AGENT - CORPORATE PHARMACY #126-06A (126-06A)

The Corporate Pharmacy Department, located at The National Services Center in Deer Valley, AZ, has an opening for a Pharmacy Help Desk Clerk.

Key Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Provide assistance to retail store pharmacies to resolve pharmacy application problems and related questions.
Determine whether problems are software or hardware related. Escalate to Safeway self-maintenance organization as needed.
Assist pharmacies in determining whether specific managed care plans are accepted by Safeway and the proper processing of those plans to ensure payment.
Serve as a liaison between pharmacies and third party administrators or claims processors to resolve problems with customer prescription eligibility.
Service to store includes flexibility in shift schedule to include nights and weekends.
REQUIREMENTS

Qualifications: The following are preferred or desired unless specifically stated:
High School diploma.
Familiarity with pharmacy operations a plus.
Pharmacy Technician experience.
Proven record of providing superior customer service.
Prior experience supporting computer applications.
Prior heath care industry experience.
Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Access).
Excellent communication skills.
Ability to remain calm and courteous when supporting store personnel.
Strong follow-through skills with focus on problem resolution.
Ability to facilitate problems with strong ability to gather pertinent information.
