The Records Specialist is responsible for tracking and safeguarding all administrative and client working paper files and records, which are managed by the Central Files organization of the New York - Two World Financial Center office.
The successful candidate will ensure that all office working paper files and records are accurately entered in the Deloitte Records Management System ("DRMS"), barcode labeled, tracked and securely stored in onsite and offsite storage. The successful candidate is also responsible for fulfilling internal client requests for retrieval of client working papers on a timely basis, providing superior service at all times. The successful candidate will ensure that
files are archived and destroyed in compliance with Deloitte & Touche USA LLP's retention schedules, and for identifying and safeguarding files placed on hold from destruction. This role requires a high level of technical records expertise and will work independently in a large office with minimal oversight or in a smaller office on a "stand-alone" basis. The successful candidate will be required to use discretion to make decisions and will be required to do trouble-shooting and problem solving. The successful candidate is further expected to serve as a resource to their supervisor to help resolve unusual or highly complex issues. The successful candidate must maintain a high level of professional and ethical standards in communicating with client service professionals at all levels within the organization.
The role requires flexibility around overtime and travel to off-site client locations.
Qualifications:
Strong presence, poise and communication skills, including both
written & verbal
Excellent customer service skills, including ability to anticipate needs and multi-task
Strong computer skills
B.S. degree in Records Management, Library Science, Accounting, Business or Technology desired
0 - 1 year of prior experience in records management, including records management systems, imaging and emerging technologies with B.S. degree; or 5-8 years relevant experience with H.S. diploma
Experience implementing an Electronic Records System is desirable
