OPS Data Support 1

Under close supervision, performs a variety of routine information processing and data quality control functions in accordance with specific instructions and established work procedures. Performs data input from source documents into area data base and retrieval of menu defined reports at scheduled intervals. May maintain physical inventory database. Reviews input data to determine accuracy and integrity of data. May use word processing and spreadsheet packages to record data, prepare correspondence, and process paperwork. Provides administrative support duties as required. Assignments can be in various Division functional areas. Guidance is usually readily available.

50% Receive quality records i.e. shop floor planning, acceptance tet procedures, supplier certifications etc. Review for correctness and completeness. Send out for rework as required.

25% Prepare logbook(s) for customer review and sales. Support sales from a documentation standpoint.

10% File quality records

5% Perform data input from source documents into database

5% Develop ad hoc reports within computer system to retrieve information for review and verification.

5% Data gathering/research
REQUIREMENTS
Skills: Provides general and specialized information processing and data quality control support. Provides information planning and control processes in support of Division activities. (This position is intended for personnel that primarily perform data input and verification duties for a functional data base. Administrative support duties are generally minimal.) Must demonstrate ability to operate a keyboard and input data accurately. May require competency in one or more word processing and computer software packages used in area of assignment. Ability to interpret and follow verbal and written instructions. Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing. Ability to operate standard office equipment. Interpersonal skills necessary to effectively interface with all levels of personnel and work in a team environment. Requires the use of various computer systems for data collection, tracking and problem solving. Ability to effectively schedule and prioritize work flow.

Comprehensive knowledge of MS Office Suite of products (Powerpoint, Excel, Word, Outlook) to create various labels, develop spreadsheets to be used for presenting graphical information for analysis.
Education: Typically requires a high school education or equivalent and 1-3 years of directly related experience. The successful candidate will be VERY detail oriented, organized and able to prioritize/multi task in a busy environment. Additionally, someone with strong communication skills and the understanding of customer support both internal and externally is a must
