Job Description:
The purpose of this position is to serve as the initial point of contact for routing internal and external calls at an Ernst & Young site, providing information services and direction to employees, customers, guests and vendors. The individual in this position must project a courteous and patient image over the firm’s telephone network, responding with skill and courtesy to heavy surges in workload. Responsibilities Provide quality customer focused Operator and message services for the firm’s telephone network. Answers telephone call and routes calls to or pages staff when necessary. Utilizes firm knowledge to ensure proper telephone call management. Reports system problems to telecommunications and follows through to resolution. May train message center back-up. May provide back-up reception or other administrative support services.
