As part of this partner ship, we have adopted initiatives designed to make life healthier, simpler and less intimidating.PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS AND WORKING CONDITIONS: *Position is primarily sedentary in nature *Maximum amount of lifting is 20 pounds *Significant amount of typing is required. *Ability to express or exchange ideas by means of spoken or written word. *Ability to file records which requires bending and stooping. *Occupant of this position spends 95% of his/her time inside air conditioned office space. *The potential for frequent exposure to blood and other potentially infectious material is minimal too none. *Works inside. Varied temperature changes. Contact with water/liquids. Subject to noise and vibrations. Hazards include exposure to blood and body fluids, sharp objects and instruments, assorted chemicals as listed in the MSDS manual. Frequent contact with fumes, odors and exposure to vapors, mists and liquids. *Use of personal protective equipment: In this position, occupational exposure to communicable diseases and blood/bloodborne pathogens requires the use of personal protective equipment to include gloves, gowns, goggles, masks and radiation measuring devices, when in the clinical setting.Minimum of 3 years Medicare inpatient and outpatient acute care and psychiatric care billing and follow-up experience. Ideal candidate must have a comprehensive understanding of ICD9, CPT4, HCPCS, and CCI/OCE edits as they relate to billing requirements as well as APC and DRG codes as they relate to reimbursement. Must have a working knowledge of federal regulations as they pertain to coverage and billing guidelines. Proficient in Microsoft excel and word as well as various electronic billing systems.
