Medical Office Specialist
Job Description:
Responsibilities include all front office functions including patient relations, appointment scheduling, telephone duties, patient registration, insurance verification, handling medical records, filing, cashiering, and computer work.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:Working at the reception desk.
Communicating with patients and providers.
Reminding patients of upcoming appointments and tracking missed appointments.
Answering multiple telephones and accurately documenting messages.
Checking-in patients and properly documenting registration.
REQUIREMENTS
Requirements:Must have knowledge of basic office equipment including copier, fax machine, and computer.
Must be skilled at dealing with interpersonal issues and customer relations.
Must have the ability to handle multiple priorities at once with minimal supervision, and to comprehend and follow written and verbal instructions.
Also must be able to organize and communicate clearly, and maintain confidentiality of patient and employee information. Required Education:A high school diploma or GED is required.Required Experience: Two years of experience in front office operations, with an understanding of billing and reimbursement.
Experience in internal medicine is preferred.
