Primary responsibilities include:


Researching, sourcing and editing the collection of industry standards as referenced by our department
Documenting any edits made, and maintaining our edit documentation database
Responding to Medicaid, Medicare and HCPCS queries
Identifying erroneous coding combinations, and working to resolve these in our system
Retrieving information from specialty sites regarding reimbursement and coding standards
Providing comparative analysis of industry data


Job Requirements:This position requires a solid working knowledge of medical coding. In addition, the successful candidate will possess appropriate certification or be a registered coder. A background in medical claims data and reimbursement policies is a must. The successful candidate will have extensive background in medical claims data, coding, and reimbursement policy. An understanding of and experience with statistical methods is preferred. Experience leveraging their clinical skills to drive medical claims data analysis is a must.Top-notch communication skills are essential for this position. RNs with coding knowledge or certification are encouraged to apply, and a Bachelor's degree is needed.
