The Market Data Manager is responsible for managing the Buyers and Analysts in the assigned Market Data Procurement area.ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Contract management & negotiation
Delegating and overseeing Procurement projects
Resolving client and vender escalations
Training and mentoring of staff
Profit and Loss statement analysis
This individual will interact regularly with Technology Services and Legg Mason senior management.
REQUIREMENTS
BUSINESS KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILITIES REQUIRED:
'Bachelor's degree in Business, Economics, Accounting or related field.
'2-4 years in Market Data Purchasing. Some Supervisor Experience.
'Negotiations and organized.
'Excellent communication skills, team player.PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
'Masters in Business or related field.
'Experience in a IT organization.
'Contract Management and Project Management.
