Manager of Membership initiatives

·In collaboration with the Director of Membership, Annual Fund and Advancement Services develop a marketing strategy to increase membership and retain existing members
·Assist Director in developing, writing, and production of marketing pieces. .
·Work closely with the Visitor Services department to improve communication with frontline staff and execute new initiatives at the sales desk.
·Develop and execute membership retention strategy including the development of new and improved membership benefits.
·Assist Membership Associates in maintenance of and updating of existing records in membership database including the creation of new member records, the update of existing records, and the deletion of duplicates.
·Assist Membership Associates in the coordination and processing of membership applications, membership renewals, and expirations.
·Assist Director in gift of membership campaign – planning and execution
·Coordinate mass mailings to membership.
·Maintain membership policies and procedures manual.
·Provide primary customer service to membership by responding to telephone and e-mail inquiries regarding the organization and its services.
·Collaborate with the Director of Membership, Annual Giving and Advancement Services to develop and implement Member Special Events. (should this also include working with Amy?)
·Collaborate with the Director of Membership, Annual Giving and Advancement Services to develop reports that provide statistical information on membership retention, costs to add a new member, etc.
·May supervise membership intern.
·Other Duties as Assigned
REQUIREMENTS
·Working knowledge of database software required; Relational database systems. Raiser's Edge fundraising software strongly preferred.
·Understanding of constituent management
·Ability to implement and execute marketing promotions to grow the membership base
·Detail-oriented, with strong organizational, analytical, and planning skills.
·Ability to produce and understand complex reports
·Must be able to prioritize and manage multiple tasks and a variety of demands.
·Aptitude for the management and effective use of information systems in support of a development program.
·Experience interfacing with many different departments and individuals to complete a task
·Interpersonal skills using tact, patience and courtesy.
·Ability to learn complex data entry procedures quickly.
·Ability to complete tasks in a timely manner.
·Working on multiple tasks with interruptions in an energetic environment & work well under pressure with periodic heavy workloads.
·A self-starter and self-motivated person that enjoys working in a team environment.
·Ability to type at 30-40 wpm.
·Demonstrated ability to work accurately and effectively with computers in a Microsoft Office setting
·Demonstrated ability to work effectively with people of diverse backgrounds and promote a positive working environment, spirit of cooperation and positive reactions to change and conflict resolution.
·Demonstrated excellent interpersonal, communication and presentation skills, both written and oral which transcend diverse audiences.
·Demonstrated motivational and problem solving capabilities with a high degree of integrity, ethics, and dedication to the mission of Cincinnati Museum Center.
·Associate's or Bachelor's Degree in a related field with a minimum of three years' experience in a not-for-profit development office or 5 years experience with a membership or development office in a not-for-profit setting in lieu of degree.
