Manager - Back Office Systems

Apex Systems is searching for a Manager of Back Office Systems to perform the following tasks as well as others as needed.Serve as the IT liaison to HR, Finance, and other key back office departments; represent customers’ needs throughout the entire system development lifecycle, from initial requirements through operations
Manage all software development lifecycle activities for back office systems
Manage production support activities for back office systems, including Tier II and III incident management responsibilities and patch/update management
Manage system enhancement requests by aligning projects and priorities with business needs and IT resources
Produce required management and business metrics for systems development
Ensure system performance, system availability, and customer satisfaction that meet or exceed published service levels
Manage the Back Office Systems team, including associate development, training, coaching, performance management, and compensation
Participate in the change management and release to production process for back office systems
Maintain appropriate and effective organizational structure, processes, and tools to support the responsibilities of the Back Office team
Collaborate effectively with peers in IT and other departments
Manage the budget for Back Office Systems, including forecasting, variance tracking, and investment planning

REQUIREMENTS
7 years of IT experience with 5 years in software development
3 years of relevant IT management experience
Experience working with business customers to analyze business requirements and align IT project activities
Experience leading multi-year enterprise software development/deployment projects (e.g., ERP, HRIS, CRM, Business Intelligence, Data Warehouse)
Experience implementing and supporting PeopleSoft
Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or an applicable business field, or equivalent experience
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Demonstrated ability to manage multiple customers and priorities in a rapidly changing environment
Experience with multiple software development and testing environments and toolsets
Experience managing system development teams and a departmental budget
Experience with a rapidly growing company or IT organization
Experience with accounting systems in a staffing company
Experience with lean/agile development
Experience with Microsoft application and SQL server environments
Masters degree in Software Engineering, Technology Management, or MBA with MIS concentration
