MEDICAL Customer Service Representative

Classification: Temporary Compensation: $10 to $14 per hour The OfficeTeam Healthcare Group is currently experiencing a high demand for Customer Service Representatives. Local medical center is searching for an individual for the customer service department. This is a call center environment and requires interaction with patients and vendors. This production position involves collecting demographics and credit information by phone, obtaining authorization and pre-certification from insurance vendors for upcoming procedures. Handles patient questions and concerns. Performs data entry and uses software programs. May also require research skills to troubleshoot patient problems. Excellent communication abilities are essential. Additional duties may include proactive communication with customers (via telephone, email, or mail), managing database records, and drafting status reports on patient service issues. May require knowledge of explanation of benefits, claims processing, billing procedures, and medical/insurance benefits. This is possible temporary to full-time position for right individual. A minimum of 3 years of experience within a medical business office customer service call center environment is required. Medical Billing knowledge and proficiency in MS Word and Excel are a plus for this production position. Business like phone manner and advanced data entry skills are required.
