Library Services Representative

We are currently looking for a Library Services Rep to work in our Albuquerque, NM location.
Specific Description
Participates as a member of the Engineering Support Group supporting the Operations and Maintenance (O&M), Development, and Studies and Analysis functional organizations at the Distributed Mission Operations Center (DMOC) on Kirtland AFB, NM. Primary responsibility involves maintenance of a technical library for the use of all DMOC personnel, customers and other visitors as needed. The DMOC Technical Library, consisting of classified and unclassified documents and media, serves as the media resource center for the DMOC. Candidate will be responsible for cataloging all documents and media; using approved check-in and check-out procedures; and enforcing all approved library procedures. Candidate will be responsible for storing and tracking all documents and software materials within the library. Candidate should be knowledgeable in methods to obtain military standards and technical orders. Candidate will be expected to pursue new methods of effective knowledge sharing. As this position requires working directly with the customer and members of other functional organizations on-site, Candidate must be able to both work independently and as part of a team, and have excellent interpersonal skills. Applicants selected will be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information.
General Position Description
Maintains collection of, catalogs and manages distribution of books, periodicals, documents, and other published materials. Conducts literature or bibliographic searches; annotates or abstracts materials; assists researchers to locate source documents; and provides guidance to users regarding reference sources, bibliographies, indexes, and reading guides. Recommends or selects documents, films, or recordings for acquisition, repair, replacement or destruction, and prepare book reviews and library displays.

REQUIREMENTS
Bachelors degree from an accredited college in a related discipline, or equivalent experience/combined education, with 3 years of professional experience; or 1 year of professional experience with a related Masters degree. Considered experienced, but still a learner.
