SUMMARY: Reporting to the PBS Supervisor, the Team Leader will be responsible for performing all job duties of the staff within the Team and also delegating work assignments to staff, overseeing daily work production and providing supervisory assistance and back-up when needed.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
•Perform all job duties of all staff within the Team.
•Delegate daily work assignments to staff.
•Provide staff with directions in management’s absence.
•Provide daily updates to Supervisor.
•Maintain excellent communication with staff and management.
•Maintain excellent working relationship with staff and management.
•Update and distribute daily reports.
•Participate in meetings with contracted facilities and other internal and external personnel.
•Must be able to pass Quality Assurance audit with an accuracy rate of 95% or better.
•Adhere to all company policies and procedures.
•Effective information systems security is a team effort involving the participation and support of every AMR employee who deals with information and/or information systems. It is the responsibility of every computer user to:

oAttend Information Systems security training, when offered
oReport information systems security problems
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
Occasionally: Walking inside, carrying no greater than 25 pounds, kneeling, stooping, bending, leaning.
Frequently: Hearing/listening, clear speech, touching, typing.

MENTAL REQUIREMENTS:
Occasionally: Analyzing, simple math skills, judgment, decision making.
Frequently: Simple writing.
Constantly: Simple reading, clerical.

Occasionally: Repetitive tasks, high pressure.

EQUIPMENT USED:
Occasionally: Digital paging terminal, facsimile, calculator, copy machine, stapler, 3 hole punch, stamping, sharpener, switchboard, printers.
Frequently: Computer/typewriter, keyboard, telephone.
WORKING ENVIRONMENT:
Occasionally: Works with others, extended day.
Frequently: Works alone, face-to-face contact with others.
Constantly: Works around others, verbal contact with others, inside.
REQUIREMENTS
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
High school diploma or GED. Minimum of 18 years of age. Minimum of six months previous work experience in medical billing. Ability to handle existing job duties and Team Leader duties concurrently. Excellent working knowledge of Team objectives, duties, tasks, processes and production expectations. General working knowledge of PCs and/or patient accounting computer systems. Working knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel for Windows. Type 45 wpm and ten key by touch. Must have strong organizational skills. Effective oral, written and interpersonal communication skills. Able to perform duties within tight time constraints and handle large volumes of work. Able to work cooperatively in a team atmosphere. Previous course work related to supervision and/or supervisor experience is preferred.
