Insurance Verification and Precertification Specialst

Now in our 5th year of business, Weston Outpatient Surgical Center is a privately owned, free-standing, state-licenses, Medicare certified, JACHO accredited, multi-specialty ambulatory surgery center located near Ft. Lauderdale, Florida is growing and needs to add an experienced full-time Insurance Verification and Pre-Certification Specialist.

The Center prides itself in providing an excellent work environment, including:
Daily company provided lunch Compensation above market norm
Company paid benefits
8.5 hours Monday through Friday (including half hour lunch), normal shift: 9:00 AM to 5:30 PM; however flixibility needed to start earlier or stay later when necesssary.

This position will, in advance of each elective outpatient surgery case booked by the surgery center:
Verify active 3rd-party payment coverage
Obtain pre-certification and pre-authorization as required for each case in addition to all co-payments and deductibles due prior to surgery
VERY heavy telephone work
REQUIREMENTS



Minimum of 3 years experience performing this extremely important function for active surgical practice, free-standing ambulatory surgery center or hospital same day surgical unit.

This position requires:
An outgoing personality
Someone who enjoys heavy telephone work to obtain needed information
Multi-tasking is critical
Ability to "keep cool" under stress essential
ACCURACY IS CRITICAL and must be comportable entering information into computers.!
Experience with workers' compensation, automobile accident/PIP, and all managed care case managers, as well as Medicare, Medicaid and Medicare Supplemental insurance policies.
