INCOME MANAGER- WHITE MARSH (FUNDRAISER)

**Fundraiser/Salesperson: The American Cancer Society is a nonprofit health organization that seeks a motivated individual to recruit, cultivate and sustain volunteer relationships and community presence in Lower Eastern Shore of MD and the Eastern Shore of VA communities. Ideal candidate must be: self starter with proven leadership skills, goal oriented, effective decision maker, team player and have ability to work independently and meet fundraising goals. Detailed oriented candidate should possess excellent communication skills and have ability to work effectively with community leaders and diverse groups. Project management and sales and/or fundraising experience sought. Some nights, weekends and extensive local travel required.**
Responsible for the implementation of assigned special events including Relay for Life, Golf, Gala/Specialty Events, Daffodil Days, among others within established guidelines. Establishes, cultivates and manages key relationships with corporations, community and individuals for successful and ongoing event management that furthers the work and mission of the American Cancer Society. Recruits, develops, retains and recognizes volunteers in support of fundraising activities to meet and exceed income goals. Integrates volunteers into the planning process for fundraising events; leverages volunteer resources to minimize staff involvement to the prescribed level as determined by the division. Develops business plans for successful implementation of fundraising events; participates in ongoing community assessment. Analyzes and monitors assigned fundraising events. Work together with State Income Director and Associate Vice President's to plan, strategize and execute ACS Business Plans for Mission Delivery. Implements accurate data collection and reporting for each income activity. Develops and implements action plans for fund raising. Responsible for adhering to all financial and fund-raising policies. Professionally & effectively represents the American Cancer Society and its mission to the public volunteers and other entities. Actively participates in the State Income Business Planning Process and serves as a member of the State Income Team. Responsible for cross-functional approach in messaging mission delivery to fund raising activities, printed materials and volunteers. Active and participating member of the state American Cancer Society team for the realization of state goals. Proactively and assertively addresses issues as they arise. Makes business based decisions; maintains accurate files, submits timely and accurate reports; meets timelines, follows through; apprises supervisor of status; provides viable & innovative solutions to problems; attends meetings/trainings, adheres to approved policy/procedure, represents the organization in a professional manner; makes effective presentations. Performs other duties as assigned.
REQUIREMENTS
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelors degree and 1 year related work experience or equivalent combination of education and experience. Valid drivers license and reliable transportation required.
OTHER DESIRABLE QUALIFICATIONS: Successful non-profit fundraising experience. Successful experience working in the areas of community organization, volunteer management, and/or Income program development. Participation in American Cancer Societys Relay For Life. Strong interest in volunteer management and community outreach.
