HUMAN RESOURCES GENERALIST
Responsibilities:Leads the development and implementation of Company human resources policies and procedures by providing department-related services and programs to operating management; provides counsel and assistance on department-related matters, and assures the effective administration and communication of human resources programs.1. Leads the development and implementation of programs, policies, and procedures as assigned, in the Human Resources Division.2. Establishes or helps to establish human resources standards, controls and measurements for operating management's use.3. Counsels associates at all levels on the implementation and operation of human resources-related programs, and wheneverappropriate, disseminates new human resources management techniques and approaches to Company management.4. Supports the development of professional human resources activities and attitudes throughout the Company.5. Evaluates or supports the evaluation of Company human resources-related programs and activities to help ensure that human resources policies are implemented.6. Monitors projects, programs, strategies, and activities after implementation, and recommends corrective action as appropriate.7. Keeps abreast of industry developments through regular contact with outside vendors, industry representatives, and counterparts in other organizations.
Key Relationships:1. Consults with management and administrative associates in all parts of the Company concerning the operation and development of assigned human resources-related programs.2. Works with other Home Office departments involved in the development and operation of human resources-related programs.3. Coordinates with senior management as appropriate to ensure assigned programs, plans, strategies, and activities are implemented in a timely, cost effective manner.4. Works with outside vendors and industry representatives to keep abreast of current industry practices.
Requirements:
Education: College degree required. Graduate training in management or in a human resources-related discipline is preferred. PHR certification a plus.
Experience: A minimum of eight years of progressively responsible human resources experience is required. Generalist background including employee relations, talent management, training, policies& procedures, performance management, salary administration and more.Experience in managing people and/or project management is prerequisite.
