Human Resources Coordinator-SS

HospitalityAs a Human Resources Coordinator you will provide central human resources administrative support to the four Waikiki properties and Support Services. Coordinate all computer and manual systems for accurate and efficient human resource processing; coordinate all computer and manual systems for leave processing, including vacation, sick, leaves of absences; communicate with employees to resolve basic human resources issues and answer related questions; maintain all respective employees files; assist supervisor with various projects.
REQUIREMENTS
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

High school or equivalent education.
Minimum 6 months experience in Human Resources related positions.
Ability to speak, read, and write and understand English.
Ability to read and write to facilitate the communication process.
Possess basic computational ability.
Possess basic computer skills such as Word and Excel.
Ability to prepare and analyze data figures and transcriptions prepared on and generated by computer.
Working knowledge of federal, state and local laws governing equal employment opportunity and civil rights, occupational safety and health, workers compensation, wage and hour issues, and labor relations, including, but not limited to the following statues and their comparable state and local laws: Title VII, ADEA, Equal Pay Act, Pregnancy Discrimination Act, FLSA, ADA, OSHA, FMLA, ERISA, and NLRA.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources or PHR certification.
Previous hotel experience.
One to two years in the area of Benefits, Compensation and/or HRIS.
