Vitec Broadcast Services, Inc. is seeking a Human Resources & Administration Manager. This position is based in our Burbank headquarters, and will support employees in our ten offices nationwide. This “solo practitioner” generalist position is a hands-on role handling day-to-day functions and also developing/improving/implementing HR and Administration policies and practices. The successful candidate will be a detail-oriented and strategic-minded leader.
REQUIREMENTS
AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY include, but are not limited to:
Payroll processing (using ADP) and associated Report Writing
Recruitment
Hiring and Termination
Benefits Administration
Workers’ Compensation Administration
Performance Management
Training
Recordkeeping
Federal & State Employment Law Compliance
Safety Programs
Employee relations; facilitating conflict resolution with fair and consistent application of policies and procedures
Administrative functions (e.g., event coordination).
QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor's degree or equivalent
Minimum 5 years Human Resources experience, with proven experience in all functional areas listed above. SHRM certification or other HR industry equivalent is a plus.
Ability to manage multiple projects with strong prioritization skills; must be able to multi-task!
Payroll experience, preferably using ADP. Must be very familiar with overtime requirements and time-tracking methods.
Experience managing FMLA and other disability leaves.
Strong working knowledge of FLSA requirements; must be familiar with how to classify positions for exempt/non-exempt status; experience with FLSA audit is highly desirable.
Proven knowledge of HR industry practices and Federal/State employment laws.
Strong written and verbal communication skills; comfortable with giving group presentations.
Demonstrated problem solving and decision making skills.
Demonstrated ability to partner with executives and employees to help drive business results
Intermediate to advanced skills in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint.
Experience with ReportSmith is a plus.
Experience providing administrative support to senior management/executives is preferred.
Ability to perform well and “keep cool” under pressure.
