For more information, please visit our website at www.scholastic.com.In support of facilitating Scholastic’s forward momentum with regard to Process standardization and automation of administration processes (Payroll, Time and labor, HR Administration, and other Employee Services related functions), we seek HRIS Senior Analyst candidates who demonstrate strong hands-on working knowledge of Oracle/Peoplesoft Payroll, Time & Labor, and HR Administration functions (platforms supporting employee base of 10,000).Ideal candidates should have demonstrated exceptional Business process and technical process (HRIS) skills, hands-on with Peoplesoft 8.x (PS 8.9 desired). Other responsibilities include: Direct functional support of production Payroll operations unit supporting Payroll and Time / Labor processing; troubleshooting issues, coordination with information technology and payroll operations where appropriate.
Cultivating a subject matter expertise for Scholastic Payroll, Time/labor, and HR administration processes and enabled technology platform (Peoplesoft 8.x) features.
Participating with project team (leading for some components) in upgrading our Payroll, T&L, and HR administration environment from Peoplesoft release 8.0 to release 8.9 (Target implementation if Sept 2006
Supporting HR audits of processes and systems, leveraging extensive Payroll, Time and Labor & HR administration application experience.
Cooridination, testing, and production support of Open Enrollment, Voluntary Benefits, Equity Administration data interfaces with external support providers
Create and maintain appropriate documentation in support of our application environments, functional requirements supporting application change, functional design, and leveraging appropriate technology application platforms of Scholastic.
Coordination and collaboration with Payroll and HR Operations areas regarding application upgrades, application functional changes, training, and streamlining of operational procedures and control processes.
Facilitate Scholastic’s momentum toward ‘self service’ strategies in support of Payroll (Epay), Time and Labor, and HR Administration
REQUIREMENTS
Ideal candidate should have 5+ years related experience in Payroll and Time/Labor processing:
Demonstrated experience in Payroll, Time / Labor and related HR Administration Process life cycles including New Hire Processing, Employee Status and information changes, Benefits processes (ex: Open Enrollment), Payroll processing concepts)
Internal Procedures design and Forms conceptual design; periodically partnering with outside design and consulting firms.
PeopleSoft version 8.9 Payroll North America, Time /Labor, HCM Benefits Functional platform experience.
Demonstrated experience developing functional design, reviewing and facilitating technical design, writing functional specifications, supporting testing, user acceptance and production verifications of application implementations and changes.
Hands on Excel, Word, Visio or similar productivity/documentation tools
Knowledge of Microsoft Project and Powerpoint.
Strong written and verbal communication skills are required due to heavy interaction with client community and IT support organization. Must be customer oriented and detail oriented.
Demonstrated team collaboration skills
Understanding of SQL in Peoplesoft environment.
Multitasking skills, Must be able to handle several projects at one time.
Demonstrated flexibility: Must be able to shift from one project to another with ease.
