HRIS Analyst I

Ferrellgas is the second largest propane company in the United States and third largest propane company in the world. Our annual revenues also rank us among the top 10 companies in the Kansas City area. We are seeking a HRIS Analyst I at our Liberty, MO location.

Job Summary:
Under general direction, this position provides support and analysis of employee data in the HRIS software. The incumbent is responsible for working with users to generate functional design specifications, review functional design documentation with users and Sr HRIS Analysts, prepare process and data models, prioritize system functionality based on requirements, and coordinate pilot and test activities. This individual will be responsible for functional support of a combination of PeopleSoft HRMS modules. Candidate should have a strong level of knowledge in at least two of the following PeopleSoft modules: Benefits, Payroll, Human Resource Workforce Administration, Position Management, or Recruiting Solutions. Candidate must have 2 – 5 years of HRMS PeopleSoft experience and have worked within PeopleSoft version 8.x. Typically requires a Bachelor’s level degree in a related field.

Essential Functions:
•Assists on a variety of projects including program design, analysis, and working with PeopleSoft Developers on implementation of new programs.
•Design ad-hoc reports using PeopleSoft Query Manager to be presented to various levels of management.
•Works with Sr HRIS Analysts to complete documentation on system upgrades and various modifications.
•Advises and trains HRIS Specialists on new transactional procedures and reporting.
•Troubleshoots production and test issues working with the Sr HRIS Analysts to find and implement a solution.
•Maintains Self Service user security.
•Effective oral and written skills to facilitate communication with users and technical experts.
•Detail Oriented
•Ability to maintain confidentiality.
•Maintain required records in accordance with Ferrellgas policies, objectives and applicable government laws and regulations.Job Requirements
Experience:
•Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience in a related field
•2-5 years related experience
•Solid PeopleSoft HRMS 8.x experience
•Basic programming skills; PeopleCode preferred
•Excellent Microsoft Office skills including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.
•Excellent interpersonal, communication, analytical and organizational skills
