HRIS Analyst

PURPOSE:
•Responsible for writing reports in Access and analyzing data requests on healthcare and retirement plans for merger/acquisition, for existing benefit plans and possible new benefits for Sky Financial Group, Inc and its subsidiaries.

CONTEXT:
•Sky operates in a highly competitive financial services environment characterized by an influx of bank mergers and other types of financial service companies. A thorough understanding of the dynamics of the banking/finance environment as well as a focused strategy that supports a client-needs-based sales process is critical in order to grow revenue and provide a level of client service that clearly adds to shareholder value.

KEY OUTPUTS:
•Will analyze Health and Welfare, and Pension Plans for mergers, acquisitions and industry modeling.
•Writes needed Impromptu reports to analyze and interpret data and to support the overall report Writing needs of the Benefit Department.
•Assists HRIS, as needed, with Projects and requests that supports the Benefits Department.
•Analyze and interpret the monthly Health Care data for SVP of HR, VP of Benefits and the Benefit Committee.
•Complete as requested, research on new benefits and the implementation of new benefit plans.
•May assist with the annual Healthcare 5500 Forms and filings. Assist Crowe Chizek with retirement plans 5500 Form information gathering as needed.
•May assist Auditors (Crowe Chizek and others) with Plan Audits and provide liaison assistance with outside vendors.
•Interact as needed with Payroll Department in areas of Safe Harbor, EGATTRA, BOLI, and SERP etc.
•Assists the Retirement Section of Benefits with annual 401k True ups analysis and calculations and with ESOP and 401k Annual Census projects.
•Assists the Retirement Section with ESOP applicable diversification (25% movement to 401k) plan.
•Completion of Benefits Surveys as applicable.
•Assists with development and updates to the Summary Plan Descriptions, Summary Annual reports and Benefits Summary for all plans.
•Keeps NQP list of Directors and Officers in electronic files and manual files.
•Stays in tune and current with new Benefit Plans and operations.
REQUIREMENTS
•Bachelors Degree in Business Administration, Human Resources or equivalent area required.

•MBA or other Master’s level degree preferred.

•Must have the ability to gather data using Access and analyze reports.

•HRIS exposure and familiarity needed.
