Human Resources Specialist
Administrative support position in the
Human Resources department responsible for coordinating workflow including processing all HR related paperwork, distribution of department mail, light data entry, assist with new hire orientation, maintain employee/HR files and event coordination. Troubleshoots human resource issues and assist employees in resolving problems related to benefits and payroll. Tracks and maintains FMLA records. Responds to unemployment claims and assists all walk in traffic for the department. Performs administrative duties as assigned by Manager.
Skill Requirements
Administrative:
Answer telephones, maintain logs/records, organizational skills, proficiency with numbers, research information, time management, train employees, use computerized databases, written and verbal communications.
Machine:
Calculator, personal computer.
Physical Demands:
Speech clarity, utilization of fingers and hands, standing-remaining on one's feet in an upright position, sitting-remaining in the normal seated position, handling-seizing, holding, grasping.
Vision Requirements:
Able to pass standardized color vision test, as required by test performed.
License/Certification/Education:
Normally High School Diploma or equivalent w/3-5 years Human Resources experience.
Preferred requirements:
Full knowledge of FMLA with experience tracking FMLA records
Experience in assisting employees with benefit and payroll questions
Experience in conducting new hire orientation
Proven ability to maintain full confidentiality
